Dozens workers held during Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (SAW) protest

FAISALABAD (92 News) – Over two dozens more workers were arrested during the ongoing protest of the Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (SAW) in Mananwala on Saturday. The police baton charged and tear-gassed the protesters. Elderly protesters were pushed into police vans ruthlessly. The police also arrested several passers-by. Owing to the protest, Sheikhupura Road was blocked. As a result, severe traffic mess was witnessed. The protesters said that they would continue the protest until the resignation of federal and provincial ministers for Law. The police said that they had arrested the protesters for blocking Sheikhupura Road. Meanwhile, the detention of the arrested workers has been extended for 30 days.
