Dr Asim remanded in NAB custody for 14 days
KARACHI (92 News) – An accountability court remanded former federal minister for Petroleum Dr Asim, who is facing the charge of embezzling Rs 452 billion, in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau for 14 days on Wednesday.
The former minister started weeping while giving the statement in court.
He also appealed for examination of his mental health.
Dr Asim had also caused a loss of billions of rupees to the Agriculture Department.
The court also issued notices to five bank managers.
Meanwhile, Investigation Officer Zameer Abbasi presented a report in court.
