Dr Imran Farooq murder case: Khalid Shamim borrowed Rs 1.7m for Mohsin Ali

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Khalid Shamim, one of a prime suspect in the murder case of Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr Imran Farooq, made important revelations that he borrowed Rs 1.7 million to send Mohsin to Britain and the payment to travel agent was made through cheque.

As the suspects in MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq’s murder case continues to make important revelations, Muazzam Ali, a key suspect revealed during interrogation that he wasn’t aware of Imran Farooq’s murder plot.

The accused told the investigation team that Khalid Shamim was an employee of his company and also received salaries.

The accused revealed that Khalid Shamim introduced Mohisn Ali to him and said that Mohsin Ali was an intelligent student, who wants to go to Britain for higher education but he doesn’t have resources. He further said that he paid Rs 1.7 million to a travel agent Syed Baqir Mehdi, who arranged visa and ticket for Mohsin Ali Syed.

The accused Muazzam Ali said that he used to help deserving students but he was not aware of assassination plot of Dr Imran Farooq.
