DSP Allama Iqbal martyred during police encounter in Swabi

SWABI (92 News) – A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Allama Iqbal was martyred while two constables sustained injuries during an alleged encounter on Wednesday. According to the details garnered, an alleged encounter took place between police officials and suspects. The DSP was martyred and a wanted offender accused, identified as Naseer, was killed due to the exchange of fire while one accused fled to the scene in injured condition. Meanwhile, the search operation in the area is underway to arrest the other accused. Earlier, two dacoits were killed in an alleged encounter with police at early hours of Wednesday morning in Gulshan-e-Maymar area of the city. According to the reports, the four dacoits were looting in the area and upon seeing the police party, they opened fire upon. In the exchange of fire two dacoits were killed, while two of their accomplices managed to flee away from the scene. The identity of the dacoits could not be ascertained, said the local police.
