ECC approves additional gas supply to Sindh from Adhi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Tuesday approved the additional  gas supply to Sindh from Adhi Oil and Gas Field. Minister for Finance Asad Umar presided over a meeting of the ECC. During the meeting, the ECC delayed the approval of fuel supply agreement between the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR). The committee reviewed demand and supply situation of urea in the country. It observed the exercise would help ensure availability of sufficient stocks of the fertilizer to meet demand of the farmers’ community. The ECC has given approval for the supply of gas from Adhi Oil and Gas Field as SNGPL will be supplied 25mmcf more gas from Adhi field. The Committee directed the ministry of industries to prepare strategy to revitalize Pakistan Machine Tool Factory. Meanwhile, the minister reviewed the reports on export of surplus wheat. The meeting also discussed critical issues regarding supply of urea and other items. On the other hand, the federal cabinet meeting under the chair of Prime Minister Imran Khan would be held tomorrow (Wednesday).
