ECC approves Kamyab Pakistan Programme, Rs 11b for salaries of PSM employees

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) chaired by Foreign Minister Shaukat Tarin approved the Kamyab Pakistan Programme on Thursday.

According to sources, the programme will be started from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan in the first phase.

Moreover, the ECC approved an amount of Rs 11 billion for paying the salaries of the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) employees in the FY2021-22.

On the summary of Defence Ministry, the forum approved funds for the armed forces as well as establishment of Frontier Constabulary Centre.

It also approved import of 50,000 tons of sugar to be completed in three phases.
