ECC approves Rs 600 million Ramazan Relief Package

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Wednesday approved an Rs 600 million Ramazan Relief Package.

The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh.

The forum allowed the import of cotton through the Torkham Border. It also approved provision of gas to two urea manufacturing companies for nine months.

Under the package, subsidy of Rs 10-50 will be given on 19 daily-use items.

The ECC also approved a grant of Rs 1.5 billion for the Prime Minister Low Cost Housing Scheme. It also okayed a grant for project related to coronavirus with the help of the World Bank.

It also approved a technical grant of Rs 330 million for the staff appointed in the UN Mission.
