ECC approves Rs17 billion bailout package for PIA

LAHORE (92 News) – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved an Rs 17 billion package for the Pakistan International Airlines. During a meeting presided over by Finance Minister Asad Umar on Monday, the ECC ordered that extra gas to 22 companies in November, December and January. The meeting directed the provinces to improve the supply and monitoring at the district level to control price-hike. The forum postponed the deliberations on the gas load management plan until the next meeting.
