ECC reviewing matters pertaining to supply, prices of fertilizers

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet chaired by Minister for Finance Asad Umar will meet today (Monday) in Islamabad. A meeting of Economic Coordination Committee is in progress in Islamabad with Finance Minister Asad Umar in the chair. It is reviewing matters pertaining to the supply, prices of fertilizers and controlling energy crisis and power circular debt. Earlier in the previous meeting, the ECC decided to take stringent actions against defaulters and power thieves. It concluded to disconnect electricity connections of consumers who fail to pay bills for three months and to install prepaid electricity meters. The ECC has issued directives to run fertilizer factories to fulfill the needs at local level.
