Economic Coordination Committee bans wheat export

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) imposed ban on wheat export on Wednesday. The decision was taken after the ECC met under the chair of Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh to review the economic situation of the country. The available wheat stocks in the country were reviewed. The ECC approved Rs1,800 per sack for imported fertilizer The committee also reviewed the performance of national carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and allowed to spend Rs700 million from the available resources.
