ECP announces schedule for 2nd phase of LG polls

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan has on Thursday announced schedule for 2nd phase of local government elections in Punjab and Sindh. According to the schedule polling for the 2nd phase will be held on November 19. Candidates can file their nomination papers from September 13 to 17. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held from September 26 to October 1. Last date for filing of appeals against acceptance or rejections of nomination papers is October 6. Appeals will be disposed of on October 12. Final list of the contesting candidates will be published along with symbols on 14th of next month. The polling will be held 15 districts of Sindh including Tandu Allahyar, Thatta, Tandu Muhammad Khan, Sajwal, Badin, Hyderabd, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Naushero Feroz, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Umer Kot and Tharparkar.
