ISLAMABAD (APP) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan for guidelines about 41 independent members to implement the decision of July 12, regarding the reserved seats.

The ECP has submitted an application to Registrar Office of the top court in this regard. It said that 41 members had submitted the documents regarding the party affiliation with the indication that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would confirm it.

It said that there was no party structure of the PTI in the records of the ECP and questioned that who would confirm the party affiliation of the independent members in the absence of its basic structure.

It said that Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was not party chairman in the record.
