ECP files appeal against PHC verdict on PTI intra-party elections, 'bat' symbol

PESHAWAR (92 News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday filed an appeal against the verdict of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) regarding the PTI's election symbol of 'bat'.

In the appeal, the ECO prayed to the court to review the verdict on the intra-party elections and the election symbol of 'bat'. It demanded that the stay order against the ECP judgment should be dismissed.

Earlier, the PHC had suspended the judgment of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the intra-party elections and withdrawal of the election symbol of 'bat'. The court had also ordered the ECP to issue the 'bat' symbol to the PTI.
