ECP issues detailed verdict of Imran Khan's disqualification in Toshakhana reference
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday issued the verdict of the disqualification of PTI chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana reference.
The 36-page verdict containing the signatures of the five members of the ECP states that Imran Khan had deliberately submitted the false statements to the ECP.
"The gifts have not been mentioned in the statements. Moreover, the money received from the gifts has not been mentioned in the statements. The stance adopted in the reply was unclear," it stated.
The verdict added that Imran Khan was disqualified under Article 63(1)(p). "Imran Khan violated the sections 137, 167 and 173 of the Election Act.
On the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan has declared the seat of Imran Khan as vacant.
