ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) accepted the applications against the PTI intra-party elections for hearing on Friday.

The five member bench issued notice to the PTI and sought the reply on December 12.

On the request of petitioner Akbar S Babar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa member observed that there was no question of the re-election as section 215 of the Election Act is clear in this regard. "A video cannot be taken as evidence under the Law of Evidence."

The counsel for the petitioner stated that the objective of the video was that there were no arrangements for the elections.

Talking to the media outside the ECP office, Akbar S Babar declared the PTI intra-party elections as selection. "The PTI intra-party elections were so-called. Today we presented the proofs to the ECP in the form of videos. The PTI had conducted a fraud election. Workers were deprived of their right to vote," he maintained.
