ECP postpones LG elections scheduled to be held in Karachi on August 28

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) postponed the local government elections scheduled to be held in Karachi on August 28.

The decision has been made during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja on Wednesday.

The meeting made the decision on the report of the Met Office, the Sindh government and other institutions over expected rains and floods.

In Hyderabad, the local bodies elections have already been postponed. The Education Department has closed the educational institutions for two days keeping in view the new spell of rains.
