ECP prepares schedule for Senate elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has prepared the schedule for Senate elections on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the Senate polls will be held in March. The sources also said that the March 2, 3 and 4 have been proposed for the polls. However, the final date will be announced tomorrow by the ECP.

ECP has established Digital Facilitation Centers at its central secretariat and provincial offices for scrutiny of nomination papers of candidates for the Senate elections.

According to an official of ECP, with the support of online technology their documents will be examined in coordination with all relevant departments.

Meanwhile, the commission has appointed Returning Officers and Polling Officers to conduct Senate elections on seats which are going to be vacant on March 11.
