ECP releases preliminary delimitation list of constituencies

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released the preliminary delimitation list of constituencies derived from the Digital Census 2023 on Wednesday.

The list has been released on website of the ECP. Objections against the preliminary delimitation list will be accepted from September 28 to October 26. The objection cases will be decided until November 26. The final lists will be released on November 30.

The ECP has already announced that the elections will be held in the last week of January 2024.

According to the list, three NA seats have been added to the Karachi Division. In Karachi East, a seat has been added to the Sindh Assembly. As a result, the seats have increased to nine. After the increase of a seat, provincial seats have been increased to nine in Central District.

In Malir, the number of seats have been increased to six from the previous five seats.
