ECP should take action against Senators who involved in horse trading: Fawad
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should fulfill its duty and take action under the Article 63 against Senators who involved in horse trading.
In a tweet, the minister said those who received bribery have been exposed and it should be investigated that which candidates became Senators by their votes in 2018.
“Do those two Senators have the right to remain in the House? The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should fulfill its duty and take action under the Article 63,” Fawad Chaudhry maintained.

It is noteworthy here that a video of horse-trading during the Senate elections in 2018 by some provincial lawmakers emerged on Tuesday. The lawmakers can be seen counting bundles of notes and putting them inside a bag.
The video shows how the loyalty of 20 lawmakers of PTI was changed after horse-trading during Senate elections in 2018. The lawmakers had been ousted from the political party by the central leadership after holding a thorough investigation.
It exposed that PTI lawmakers had been made hefty payments in 2018 during Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) polls. The lawmakers can be seen counting banknotes and putting them inside a bag. The vote-trading had been carried out from February 20 to March 2, 2018.
