ECP to hold by-election in NA-122 & 154 on October 11

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced a schedule for the by-election in NA-122 and 154. According to the schedule, the by-election will be held on October 11. Nomination papers will be submitted on September 10 & 11. PTI’s Aleem Khan will face Ayaz Sadiq of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in NA-122. Meanwhile, the ECP has announced an electoral skeleton for the local government elections in Punjab. According to the skeleton, every union council will consist of six wards and a general councilor will be elected from each union council. The chairman and vice-chairman will be elected from each union council. According to the ECP, UC chairman, vice-chairman and general councilor will be elected directly. In the same way, there will be municipal committees at the town level, while each municipal committee has been divided into wards.
