ECP to hold local bodies polls in Islamabad on July 25

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that local bodies polls will be held in Islamabad on July 25. According to a schedule announced by the ECP, nomination papers will be filed on June 25 and 26 while objections against them will be submitted on June 28. The papers will be scrutinized on June 29 and 30. The final list of the candidates will be displayed on July 6. As many as 620,165 voters will elect their representatives for 79 union councils. There will be 13 seats in each union council. There will be one each chairman and vice-chairman, six general members and two women while one seat each has been reserved for minorities, labourers and youths.
