Suleman Shehbaz's return is part of NRO II given by ex-COAS Bajwa: Imran Khan

LAHORE (92 News) – Former prime minister Imran Khan said that the return of Suleman Shehbaz, son of PM Shehbaz Sharif, is part of the NRO II which was given by former COAS General Qamar Bajwa.

He expressed these views while talking to PTI lawmakers from four districts and YouTubers on Thursday. "I have never called former army chief as his boss because I was the prime minister. The new army chief should not move ahead with the policies of his predecessor," he maintained.

Imran Khan said that he had never thought of appointing General Faiz as the army chief and a propaganda was launched against him. "I have link with General Faiz since he was the ISI DG," he added.

He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is trying to disqualify him. "The NAB was earlier subordinate of the establishment and took action against the poor only. I could not take action against the mafia during my tenure," he maintained. He said that the only way to stop religious extremism is to inform the people about the religion.

He said that a society cannot strengthen till provision of justice in the society. "Chaudhary Parvez Elahi has expressed full confidence in me and he will do the as per my instructions," he added.

Imran Khan said that Pakistanis are the greatest asset. "There will be no need to ask any country to make investment in Pakistan if they will invest," he added.

During the meeting, some lawmakers feared that the government could postpone the general elections after the dissolution of the assemblies. At this, Imran Khan said that the government will have no option except to hold the general elections.
