Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrated with religious zeal

LAHORE (92 News) – Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrated with great religious zeal and fervour across the country on Sunday. The day started with thirty-one guns salute at the federal capital and twenty one guns salute at all provincial capitals. Special programs are being held to highlight the glaring aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah, progress and prosperity of Pakistan was offered in mosques after Fajr prayer. Special conferences, events and Mahaafil-e-Milaad were arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose life and teachings are beacon of light for the whole mankind. In connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), an International Rehmatul-lil-Alameen (SAW) Conference held in Islamabad today under the auspices of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony. The theme of this year's conference was ‘State of Madina and concept of modern Islamic Welfare State - in the light of teachings of Holy Prophet (SAWW).’ The opening session of the conference  chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan while President Dr Arif Alvi presided over the concluding session. Prominent Ulema, Mushaikh, scholars and foreign delegates participated in the conference and throw light on various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). Awards and prizes distributed among the position holders in Seerat Books, Maqala-e-Seerat and Naats. On the other hand, mosques, markets, government and private buildings and roads have been decorated with green buntings, flags and colourful lights. Religious organizations have planned a number of activities including seminars, conferences and milad. On the other hand, vendors have set up colorful stalls with unique collection of badges, stickers, buntings, flags and banners inscribed with the slogans paying respect to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) across the country.
