ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW), the birthday of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), was celebrated with great religious zeal and fervor across Pakistan today. The day dawned with thirty-one guns salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salute at all the provincial capitals. Special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity of the country were offered in mosques after Fajr prayers. For celebrating the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with immense respect and religious enthusiasm completed all over the country where all main buildings and historic sites have been artistically illuminated in all the provinces. The federal government has declared public holiday on Nov 21 (Wednesday) in connection with 12 Rabiul Awal celebrations. Processions are being taken out in which people from all walks of life, including religious scholars, are highlighting various aspects of the pious life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Moreover, function are being organized at religious places where people would offer Naat and Darood Sharif to express their immeasurable love with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The citizens of the country illuminated their houses, bungalows, bazaars, markets, mosques and offices with colorful buntings, lights and green flags to show their immeasurable love with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on occasion of 12th Rabi ul Awwal. Large banners and gigantic billboards were displayed across Pakistan by people, faithful and religious scholars in connection with Eid Milad unNabi (SAW) celebrations . The government, semi govt organizations, educational institutes, social and religious organizations have planned special programmes and other activities on occasion of 12th Rabi ul Awwal. They finalized different programmes of holding Naat and Darood-o-Salam competitions. The owners of buses, trucks, taxis , and motorcycles decorated their vehicles artistically to pay great homage to Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Ulema and religious scholars have been invited to various programmes in villages, towns and cities on 12th of Rabi ul Awwal to inform and educate children about teaching of the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and highlighting His matchless services for humanity. Naat Khawani, declamation contests in the government and private schools are being held across the country. Special functions were also planned and processions would be taken out in all major cities and towns of all the provinces whereas all routes of processions are being illuminated and decorated with colorful lights and flags in connection with the 12th Rabi ul Awwal. The vendors have established a number of stalls at every nook and corner of the province besides processions routes and are offering banners, badges, stickers and flags to people. The people are also distributing sweets besides gifts among relatives, poor and needy masses in connection with the great day.
