ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has confiscated eight benami (undisclosed) properties of former president Asif Ali Zardari who is currently facing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquires. The undisclosed properties – Plot 18/2 Civil Lines Karachi, Plot 126-E-1, and Plot 122 Block 05 Clifton Karachi- of Zardari have been seized by the tax authorities, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) leader Naeeul Haq said in his latest tweet today. Further squeezing the PPP co-chairperson, the authorities also seized his 30 million shares in two investments in a private bank, 226.4 million and 7 million shares of Thatta Cement company limited and 126 other companies. The PPP leader is currently facing NAB references in fake bank accounts case and Park Lane case. The executive board of the NAB on Wednesday accorded an approval to file reference against former president Asif Ali Zardari in Park Lane case. The approval was given during the board’s meeting held under the chair of NAB Chairman Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal.
