The locals protested against non-availability of rescuers and stoppage of canal water. The rescue operation was in progress by locals. The people protesting the incident reportedly stopped the vehicle of PPP leader Khursheed Shah who was traveling in the caravan of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
