Eight killed in van-trailer collision near Hala Bypass

HYDERABAD (92 News) – At least eight people were killed and 8 others injured when a passenger van collided with a troller at the National Highway near Hala bypass in Bhit Shah. According to the details, the incident took place near Hala bypass where eight people including women and children lost their lives and 8 others sustained severe injuries in a collision between an over-speeding troller and passenger van. The rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to the nearby hospital. It added that two women were among the dead. Rescue sources further informed that five critical injured persons were referred to Civil Hospital, Hyderabad.

Two dead as car rams into rickshaw in Karachi’s DHA

On the other hand, at least two people lost their lives while four others suffered wounds when a speeding car rammed into a rickshaw in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area in the wee hours of Friday. Rescue sources relayed the accident occurred in Shehbaz commercial area of the DHA. The car while attempting a turn without reducing speed rammed into the rickshaw, they added. Consequently, two people were killed on the spot while six others sustained injures. A woman and child are among those killed in the accident. Upon being informed of the incident, rescue teams reached the scene and shifted the injured to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical attention. Police said the driver of the car has been taken into custody, adding all the victims were travelling in the rickshaw.
