Eight labourers die as bus buried under debris after landslide in Kohistan

DASU (92 News) – Eight labourers were killed when a bus buried under debris due to landslide at Khoshi on the Korakoram Highway on Monday night. The doomed bus was heading to Dasu from Barseen. The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Ghani, Azam, Abdul Maalik, Shabbir, Malook Shah and Saifur Rahman. The bodies have been recovered and shifted to Dasu Rural Health Centre. In Upper Dir, a majority link roads is closed after snowfall. Roads could not be opened in Kohistan, Dobandu, Ashairi Darrah, Hayagaye and Mirashifti, Nehag Darrah, Karon Darra, Noorkhel and Ganshal Upper. Locals are facing difficult times due to the closure of roads for snowfall. They are forced to carry patients on their shoulders for miles. On the other hand, locals are facing acute shortage of food due to closure of roads.
