Eight-member bench to hear Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Bill, 2023 on May 2

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - An eight-member bench will hear the Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Bill, 2023 on May 22.

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial will head the bench. Notices have been issued to nine political parties, including the PML-N, the PPP and the PTI. In the last hearing, the court had stayed the implementation of the judicial reforms bill.

President Dr Arif Alvi had returned the Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Bill, 2023 unsigned for reconsideration to the parliament as per the provisions of Article 75 of the constitution.
