Eight-member Punjab cabinet takes oath in first phase

LAHORE (92 News) – In the first phase, an eight-member provincial cabinet of Punjab was sworn in at Governor's House in Lahore.

Governor Punjab Muhammad Baleeghur Rehman administered oath to the provincial ministers.

The cabinet members include Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Sardar Owais Khan Leghari, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Syed Hassan Murtaza, Ataullah Tarar, Chaudhry Bilal Asghar and Ali Hider Gillani.

Earlier, President Dr Arif Alvi had appointed Muhammad Baleeghur Rehman as governor of Punjab. He had been appointed the summary sent by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The President had given the approval on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in terms of Article 48(1) read with Article 101(1) and Article 101(5) of the Constitution.
