Eight new ordinances promulgated after President Arif Alvi’s approval

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – After the approval from President Dr Arif Alvi, eight new ordinances have been promulgated. The promulgated ordinances include Amended Benami Transaction Act 2017, formation of the Legal and Justice Authority, protecting the inheritance rights of women, service tribunal, providing citizens legal assistance and legal system pertaining to girls and women. On October 12, the federal cabinet had approved the imposition of six new laws through the ordinances. The decision was made during a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday. The ordinances include the NAB Amendment Ordinance and the Benami Transaction Act. The cabinet also approved the release of Rs5 billion for low-cost houses.
