It’s not appropriate to term elected representatives thieves, dacoits: PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that it is not appropriate to term elected representatives as thieves and dacoits. Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly on Monday, he said that courts talk of abolishing the law passed by the assembly. “Will the parliament have to legislate after seeking permission? It should be discussed in the parliament that whether the parliament has right to legislate or not. We have taken the oath to defend the constitution and we will defend the constitution,” he maintained. Addressing a meeting of the PML-N parliamentary party, he demanded that act of the judges should also be discussed in the parliament. “Each institution should work within its limit,” he said.
