Election will not be postponed, says Khurshid Shah
June 14, 2018
KARACHI (92 News) – Former opposition leader in National Assembly Khurshid Shah said that the general election 2018 will not be postponed. Speaking to the journalists, Khurshid Shah said that Nawaz Shairf went to London for inquiring after health of his wife, saying that he will come back after Eidul Fitr. "If Nawaz Sharif does not return Pakistan, however, he will damage his political carrier," he added. On the other hand, MQM-Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar alleged that political parties were busy in pre-poll rigging instead of serving the public. He said that the Pakistan People's Party was still using government’s resources despite dissolution of the Sindh Assembly, along with other assemblies, while other parties were getting funds from foreign sources. Sattar lashed out at political parties for making false promises with the people ahead of elections, saying the leaders seldom stand by their claims. He also said that public has started losing faith in political leaders and their parties because of their “false promises”.
