Electioneering ends as all set for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa LB polls tomorrow

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The electioneering for the Local Bodies election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended Thursday night as Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) finalised all arrangements to hold the election across the province on Saturday. According to election commission authorities, there are over 84,420 candidates in the fight for 41,762 seats. Around 11,000 polling stations have been set up across the province where more than 13 million registered voters – 7,494,000 male and 5,638,000 female – will cast their votes. For the purpose, the commission sent election material to all district returning officers. For the election process, KPK Ministry of Education has announced holiday on May 29 and 30 in education institutions. Also, foolproof security arrangements have been made to ensure peaceful polls. The electoral alliance has broken in several areas, leaving the Awami National Party alone.
