Elections are a step towards promotion of democracy, turnout accepted worldwide: PM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has said that the general elections are step towards promotion of democracy and the turnout was acknowledged worldwide.

In a message on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday, he said that all stakeholders should understand that the defeat and victory are the basic part of democratic process. "Parties or candidates should approach the relevant forum for election anomalies," he declared.

The prime minister said that anarchy would not be tolerated under the present circumstances as it only forwards the agenda of the enemy forces. "Any instigation for violence will not be pardoned. The law will take its course without any hesitation," he added.

He said that all parties should show patience. "Political parties are busy in forming the government according to democratic traditions at the federal and provincial levels. This process will soon come to an end with respect and mutual understanding," he added.
