ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Sub-Committee of Parliamentary Committee on Electoral Reforms on Wednesday recommended to join assets and tax return forms of the members of the parliament. A meeting of the electoral reforms sub-committee was held in Parliament House, with Zahid Hamid in the chair. The meeting discussed the several matters, including verification of MPs assets and the Public Representation Act. Zahid Hamid said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will now be able to check the record of assets of the MPs. “The step will end the charge of tax theft against the parliament members.” The meeting also recommended the NADRA to unblock 200,000 CNICs, which had been blocked earlier. Anusha Rehman, Shazia Marri, Farooq Sattar and Sahibzada Tariqullah and officials of the NADRA and the FBR also attended the meeting.
