Electricity rate will increase to Rs 35 per unit from next month: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the per unit electricity rate will increase to Rs 35 from next month.

Talking to the media on Friday, he said that the government had increased the power tariff to the highest level in the world. "The government is burdening the masses to meet expenditures," he added.

The former prime minister said that NAB was not an institution of accountability, but of a politics. "The NAB has become an institution of revenge. Why did NAB remember coronavirus suddenly?" he questioned.

He said that the media should directly air the court proceedings so that the people should know about the reality.

Shahid Khaqab Abbasi said that the Kashmir dispute cannot be resolved in closed room. "The sugar price has reached at Rs 110 per kilogram," he added.

He said that the long march will be launched after developing consensus.
