No compromise on dignity, solidarity and autonomy of country: PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that there will be no compromise on dignity, solidarity and autonomy of the country.

Addressing the budget session in the National Assembly on Wednesday, he said that Pakistan will only become part of the peace process, not the conflict.

Giving the message of 'No More' to the United States, the prime minister said that Pakistan was branded as 'dual' despite giving sacrificing 70,000 human lives. "A difficlut time is coming for us. We want peace in Afghanistan and will support the group elected by the Afghan government," he declared.

Imran Khan said that Pakistan should not be held resposnible for failure in Afghanistan.

Criticising the policies of Pervez Musharraf, he said that former president had sent the Army behind a few hundred Taliban on the US order. "Under which law, Musharraf handed over the people to the US after receiving money and told a lie with the nation?. Will we be allowed to carry out a drone attack against a terrorist sitting in London for the last 30 years?" he said.

PM Imran Khan said that the United States killed Osama Bin Laden after an operation in Pakistan and Pakistanis had to face embarrasment across the world.

He ruled out any talks with India until withdrawl of the August 5 step. "The Pakistani nation is supporting the Kashmiris. We salute the passion of the Kashmiris," he added.

The prime minister said that electronic machine is the only way to stop election rigging and the the result will be announced soon after the end of the election. "The opposition should present a proposal, if any, to stop rigging. The election reforms are pending for the last one year and the discussion could not be held," he added.

The prime minister said that each election had been controversial since 1970. "The difficult decisions hurt the people, but there was no second way," he said.

He said that the conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were tough. "In the beginning, we tried not to approach the IMF but later we were forced to approach it," he said.

Imran Khan paid tribute to his team for economic restoration. He appreciated Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen for the preparation of the budget as well the part and allies on its approval.

Earlier on his arrival, the assembly members welcomed the prime minister by thumping desks.
