Embezzelments of Rs3.30 billion revealed in Lady Reading Hospital

PESHAWAR (92 News) - Embezzelments of Rs3.30 billion have been revealed in the accounts of Lady Reading Hospital.

According to the initial audit report, embezzelements have been done in appointments, contructions and procurements. Embezzlement of Rs1.43 Billion has been done in the procurement of medical and IT gadets.

The report says that Rs1.39 Billion has been spent out of the rule and the accounts department faced deficit of Rs478.5 Million under the head of appointments.

Endoscopic ultrasound and video endoscopy have not been installed in the hospital even after making payments. Rs60.17 Million has paid for installation of both tools.

According to the report, nursing director was appointed for Rs0.580 Million monthly.
