Employees end protest after successful talks with govt delegation

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government delegation held successful talks with the government employees on Thursday.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that matters with the employees from BS-1 to 19 have been settled.

According to the agreement, the employees will end their strike, the arrested people will be released and cases against them will be withdrawn.

Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak said that the decision had been made to make upgradation in the budget in June. "An adhoc relief will be given to the employees," he added.

Earlier, the participants of the sit-in have refused to end their protest till issuance of a notification regarding an increase in their salaries.
