Employees’ salaries in danger as Finance Ministry blocks NAB funds

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Finance Ministry has blocked the funds of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), expressing the indignation of the government at the ongoing investigations into corruption scandals. The move has put the salaries of the employees and officers in danger. After the blockage of reward and recovery, repair of vehicles and marriage grant, the Finance Ministry has also stopped the NAB’s hardship allowance. The ministry pays two percent of the recoveries to the NAB. Meanwhile, the government has decided to stop the allowances of the employees in the coming budget. Sources said that a consultative summary has been prepared in this regard.
