KARACHI (92 News) - Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has said that the enemy is creating trouble in Karachi, Balochistan and the tribal belt. Addressing the passing-out parade at Naval Academy on Saturday, the COAS said we are acutely aware of the enemy's campaign against the corridor project which has the potential to transforming the lives of region's people. "Pakistan is willing to cooperate with other countries for peace but will not compromise on our national interest," he said. "We won't hesitate in making any sacrifice for safeguarding the national interest including the issue of Kashmir and development of new ports." He said Gwadar Port will be built and developed as one of most strategic deep sea port in the region at all costs. "The entire world recognises our security concerns. Ceasefire violations, and bloodletting in Balochistan, tribal areas and Karachi manifest enemy's hostile intent," he said. "The entire nation has the resolve to eliminate the menace of terrorism." Raheel Sharif said the battle against terrorism can not be won by the armed forces alone. It is encouraging to see the entire nation pursuing this national effort with great sense of purpose.
