Energy saving campaign: Markets to be closed at 9 pm in Punjab from today

LAHORE (92 News) - Markets in Punjab will be closed from 9 pm on Monday under the energy saving campaign.

CM Punjab Hamza Shehbaz Sharif took a big decision to save energy in consultation with the business community across the province.

CM Hamza Shehbaz in a meeting with traders said that restaurants will be open till 11.30 pm and working hours of wedding halls will be reserved till 10 pm only. Proposals for easing sanctions are being considered on Saturday.

He said the decision would not apply to medical stores, adding that the working hours policy for Eid shopping would be reviewed in consultation with the business community.

The business community has announced its full support for the government's response to the energy crisis. Business officials and representatives from across the province appreciated the government's initiatives for energy saving campaign.

Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Ahmad Hassan, Rana Mashhood, Syed Ali Haider Gilani, Ata Tarar, Chaudhry Bilal Asghar, Imran Goraya and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
