Engage Africa policy is government's top priority, says FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Engage Africa policy is amongst the priorities of our government.

In his telephonic conversation with Kenyan counterpart Raychelle Omamo, he said that Pakistan gives special importance to its bilateral relations with Kenya. “Engage Africa policy is amongst the priorities of our government.”

The Foreign Minister expressed strong desire to further strengthen relations with Kenya in the areas of economy, trade and defense.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also urged the international community to take concrete steps for provision of humanitarian and economic assistance to the Afghan people. He said that if situation further deteriorated in Afghanistan, it would lead to a huge outflow of Afghan refugees besides other consequences.
