ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Monday said that the entire country is united whether it’s the aggression of the neighboring country or the Kashmir dispute. Addressing the meeting, he thanked the parliamentary leaders for attending the meeting and said that everyone’s suggestions are important, adding that we need to give a proof of unity and solidarity. Nawaz Sharif said that the Kashmir issue has become a flash point following the martyrdom of Burhan Wani and it is time for the world to play their role for the resolution of Kashmir dispute. “It is good that the whole nation is united on the issue of Kashmir and the meeting would give a strong message of unity among the country’s political leadership,” he added. The meeting decided to activate the National Security Council. The prime minister said that they had raised the Kashmir issue in the United Nations in an effective way. “We believe in developing broad-based consensus on important issues,” he said. The meeting was attended by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Awami National Party leader Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, National Party Chief Hasil Bizenjo and Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting of the parliamentary leaders to evolve a joint response on Indian-occupied Kashmir and the situation along the Line of Control (LoC). During the meeting, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry briefed the meeting regarding the situation along the Line of Control (LoC).
