Establishment of electronic warehouses in four districts of Punjab will bring prosperity for farmers: Reza Baqir

LAHORE (92 News) – State Bank of Pakistan Governor Reza Baqir has said that the establishment of electronic warehouses in four districts of Punjab will bring prosperity for farmers.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said electronic warehouses are being established in four districts, including Sheikhupura, Kasur and Okara. “The State Bank of Pakistan will also provide the facility of financing by partnering with other banks. Loans will be provided to farmers for sowing crops of maize and rice in modern ways and for storing them,” he added.

He said that they will provide guidance to farmers from sowing seeds to selling their yields. “We will also provide small loans for storing crops,” he maintained.

Reza Baqir said that they are heading towards a new Pakistan together with agriculture financing. “The weak farmer will be stronger through the new policies. Crops of farmers will be insured from every kind of danger,” he added.
