Election Tribunal turns down Shehbaz Sharif’s plea against Faisal Vawda

KARACHI (92 News) – The Election Tribunal (ET) at the Sindh High Court has turned down Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif’s plea against Federal Minister for Water Faisal Vawda on Friday. According to details, the former Punjab chief minister had filed the plea in election tribunal to declare the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader disqualify by challenging Faisal Vawda’s success in NA-249 in General Elections 2018. Shehbaz Sharif had taken the stance that Faisal Vawda had rigged the elections and requested the tribunal to nullify the polls. Shehbaz Sharif had lost the elections by just over 600 votes. Vawda had bagged 35,344 votes while Shehbaz Sharif received 34,626 votes. Speaking to the journalists after appearance in the high court, the PTI leader thanked the Allah Almighty for verdict in his favor. “The prayers of my parents were with me,” he maintained. Faisal Vawda terms Shehbaz Sharif as a person with fake personality.
