Ex-minister Kanju’s son arrested for torturing two maid sisters

LAHORE (92 News) – Former state minister Siddique Kanju’s son Amin Kanju on Tuesday was arrested from the court room of Supreme Court (SC) Lahore Registry over allegedly torturing two maid sisters. A bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar took up a case relating to violence inflicted on two girls by their maids. Siddiq Kanjo’s son was taken into custody from the premises of SC Lahore registry on the directives of the chief justice for allegedly torturing domestic workers. CJ Nisar directed the police to arrest Kanjo from the court premises and initiate legal action against him in accordance with the law. Meanwhile, the victim girls’ parents – Rafique and her spouse Shehnaz – alleged before the bench that Ameen Kanjo accused their daughters Yasmeen and Saima of theft and then subjected them to physical torture.
