ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has served an Rs100 legal notice on Pakistan-based US national Cynthia D Ritchie. In the legal notice, it has been stated that the money received in case of Cynthia’s failure to prove the allegations should be devided among the public welfare institutions. On Tuesday, a local court in Islamabad has summoned US blogger Cynthia Ritchie’s who leveled serious allegations against Pakistan Peoples’ Party leadership on Tuesday. Additional sessions Judge Atta Rabbani heard the petition filed against Ritchie by Pakistan Peoples Party’s president in Islamabad Shakeel Abbasi. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in its response submitted before the court raised objection on Abbasi’s petition. The FIA stated that Abbasi was not an affected party and sought the dismissal of the petition, which claims that the FIA has not responded to the petitioner’s complaint. In the reply, the FIA argued that according to its rules, only the aggrieved party – the targeted victim or their guardian – can lodge such a complaint with the agency. The agency maintained that Abbasi could not file such a complaint as he was not the affected party of Ritchie’s allegations. The court issued notices to Ritchie and the PTA again seeking their replies on the petition. The court sought Cynthia Ritchie’s response by June 13.
