Exams for classes 10, 12 to be held after June 20: IPEMC
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Clarifying that no student will be promoted to the next class without examinations this year, the federal government decided to hold examinations of classes 10 and 12 after June 20.
The decision was taken in Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) attended by all education ministers on Monday.
According to an official press release issued after the meeting ended, the federal government has decided to take examinations of all students this year under Coronavirus SOPs. Summer vacations, will be limited and province will decide how many leaves to grant as they see fit.
All education ministers, including the Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan ministers, are members of the IPEMC, which is responsible for formulating policies related to the education sector.
The meeting reviewed the latest COVID-19 situation in the country. The meeting decided to hold examinations in the country after June 20; however, provinces would finalise the dates of the exams.

IPEMC Chairman Shafqat Mahmood urged all federal units to ensure timely vaccination of teachers, supervisory staff, and other administrative staff. "Those who do not have vaccination certificates will not be called for invigilation, the meeting decided."
